Michele Romanow is an engineer and a serial entrepreneur who started three companies before her 28th birthday. A “Dragon” on CBC’s hit show Dragons’ Den, Michele is the co-founder of Buytopia.ca, Snap By Groupon, and — most recently — Clearbanc, an online financial service. Michele was also a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award; the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards; and was a Cartier Women’s Initiative Award global finalist.
Kristen Wood is the CEO + Creator of THE TEN SPOT® Beauty Bars, Canada’s fastest growing beauty services company with locations across Canada. Starting with a single store in Toronto’s then up-and-coming Queen West neighbourhood, THE TEN SPOT® has become one of Canada’s beloved brands, channeling Kristen’s edgy, honest humour and commitment to excellence. She has won three separate entrepreneurial awards, including the PROFIT/Chatelaine W100 Top Female Entrepreneurs award from 2014 to 2016.
Rubina Ahmed-Haq is a journalist and personal finance expert and the go-to money expert in Canada for several media outlets. She regularly appears on CBC News Network, CBC The Goods, CTV Your Morning and Global Toronto. She writes for HOMES Publishing Group, ratesupermarket.ca and is a contributor at Yahoo! Finance. As a business reporter, she has worked for CP24 from the Toronto Stock Exchange and reported for BNN. Her work has also appeared in the Toronto Star and various other national magazines. Rubina is also the brain behind personal finance behind Always Save Money.
Jessica Moorhouse is one of Canada’s prominent millennial personal finance experts, an award-winning blogger, host of the Mo’ Money Podcast, founder of the Millennial Money Meetup and co-founder of Rich & Fit.
She has interviewed top personal finance experts like Gail Vaz-Oxlade, Preet Banerjee and Rob Carrick, as well as inspirational entrepreneurs, and authors, helping Canadians learn how to manage their money better, make smarter choices, become debt-free and live a more fulfilled and balanced life.
Desirae Odjick is the author behind the personal finance blog, Half Banked, where she helps millennials get a handle on their personal finances. Her blog posts have ended up in places like Business Insider, FLARE Fashion, CBC, the Globe and Mail and more. Desirae’s signature product, the Quick Budget Fix, has helped over 50 people create spending-and-savings plans that work for their lives.
